So much has happened over the Christmas holiday. For now Nandini has been staying up longer and sleeping longer. I know, Hooray! She really likes to look at her new toy. We call it Zebra.

The Nutcracker Ballet

We took Meena and Nandini to their first ballet at the Nutmeg Theater. We had a wonderful time.
Meena even got to meet a real ballerina afterwards.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Last weekend we went to the church fair where the girls got to visit with Santa. Then we picked out a tree at the farm down the road. After such a busy day Nandini relaxed in her swing. Meena just parked herself right in front of her and sang to her and told her stories. Nandini loves her Meena-didi.

Trip to Virginia

We had a wonderful trip to Virginia. Nandini can recognize and smile at Nanni. Meena was really excited to know that PopPop was a farmer.

Meena's Class

Meena goes to dance class every Saturday. This past weekend her teacher invited the parents to observe. Meena loves to tell us the names of her new dance moves. Some are made up names and some aren't. If it sounds French I typically guess its a real name.

6 Week Visit

Our OB friends, midwife Amanda Cripe and Dr. Natalie Adsuar got to see how well Nandini was doing after 6 weeks. It was great to show them how big the girls have gotten. They don't usually get to hold their special deliveries. Amanda helped me push during both Meena and Nandini's births. Thanks again Amanda and Natalie!

Grandpa, Aunts, and Uncles

Nandini got to spend some time with Grandpa Mickey, Aunty Francine, and Uncle Josh over the weekend.

Halloween Fun

Meena got to enjoy a belated Halloweening as Princess Jasmine. She went with her friend Buzz Lightyear (Dylan) from school.
Nandini is still working on learning her cheers.

Buster sure is sneaky. I went to the bathroom and I came back to find him in the bassinet.

Meena loves showing her sister and one of her favorite baby dolls all the big girl things she can do, like tell stories.

Staying Warm

We had a brief power outage for 3 days. During that time we slept in front of the fireplace. In the middle of the second night, during one of Nandini's feedings, I found Meena sharing her pillow and sleeping bag with our cat, Buster.

More Visitors

We had more visitors this weekend. We saw Aunty Sarah Saturday.
Then Sunday we saw Gamma Nan and Poppy Frank.

Our Two Girls

3 Weeks Old

Baby Nandini had a 3 week doctor's appointment to make sure she is gaining weight. She's now 8lbs and 6 oz.
Wonderfully healthy. Hard to believe 21 days have gone by. I'm feeling better and better every day.
Meena loves to cuddle, hug, kiss and make silly faces with her little sister. Every time I'm done nursing she asks to hold her.

Over the weekend Dylan and Baby Hailey came over and brought their cool bouncy house to share with Meena.

Family Weekend

8 month old, Gabriella, gets a good look at a little baby.





We were so lucky to have warm weather the weekend of Oct 7th, 8th and 9th.
PopPop, Ryan, Scarlett, Gabriella, Serena, Megan, Emily and Rachel all came to visit us. Baby Nandini was only 8 days old but I could tell she was happy to visit with everyone.
